Everything you need to know about lymphatic drainage massage, body sculpting, cavitation, and RF skin tightening - so you feel confident before you book.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

How often should I have a lymphatic drainage massage?

Frequency depends on your goals and individual needs:

For general health & wellbeing:

One session every 2–4 weeks helps maintain healthy circulation, supports your immune system, reduces inflammation, and keeps your body feeling energised and balanced.

For bloating or fluid retention:

1–2 sessions per week until symptoms improve, then you can transition to a maintenance schedule every few weeks.

For hormonal changes or menopausal support:

Hormonal shifts can slow the lymphatic system, causing puffiness, fatigue, and bloating. Regular sessions every 1–2 weeks can help reduce water retention, ease inflammation, and restore balance.

For post-surgery recovery:

Whether it’s aesthetic or medical surgery, lymphatic drainage can reduce swelling, support healing, and prevent fluid buildup. Typically, 2–3 sessions per week are recommended initially, tapering as your recovery progresses. Always follow your surgeon’s guidance alongside these treatments.

For deep healing or stress relief:

Weekly sessions can help release tension, support your nervous system, and reduce chronic inflammation, assisting your body in clearing stored stress or trauma over time.

How long is each session?

Session lengths vary depending on your needs, but we always stay within the timeframes listed on our booking page to ensure a thorough and safe treatment.

What can I expect during a lymphatic drainage massage?

  • Gentle, rhythmic techniques targeting lymph flow
  • Reduced bloating and fluid retention
  • Improved circulation and skin tone
  • A sense of deep relaxation and energy release

Who benefits most from lymphatic drainage?

  • Anyone experiencing bloating, puffiness, or water retention
  • Clients looking to support detoxification and circulation
  • Individuals recovering from surgery or aesthetic procedures
  • Those managing stress, chronic tension, or hormonal changes

Are there any precautions?

Lymphatic drainage is safe for most clients, but we recommend consulting your doctor if you have:

  • Active infections
  • Heart or kidney conditions
  • Blood clotting disorders

How do I maximise results?

  • Stay well hydrated before and after your session
  • Pair with a healthy diet and gentle movement
  • Combine with complementary treatments, such as body sculpting or wood therapy, for enhanced results

When will I see results?

Many clients notice a visible reduction in bloating and puffiness after just one session. You may feel lighter, less inflamed, and more energised immediately.

For deeper concerns such as chronic fluid retention, post-surgical swelling, or hormonal imbalance, results build progressively with a series of treatments. Consistency enhances and prolongs results.

What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Depending on the treatment area, disposable garments may be provided for your comfort and privacy.

Pre-treatment guidelines

To maximise your results:

  • Arrive well hydrated

  • Avoid heavy meals 1–2 hours before

  • Limit alcohol 24 hours prior

  • Inform us of any medical conditions or recent procedures

Post-treatment care

After your treatment, your body will continue clearing excess fluid for 24–48 hours. You may notice increased urination, mild fatigue, or thirst — this is completely normal.

To maximise results:

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours

  • Choose light, nourishing foods and reduce salt

  • Engage in gentle movement (walking or stretching)

  • Avoid intense workouts, saunas, or very hot baths for 24 hours

If your treatment is post-surgical, continue following your surgeon’s advice and wear compression garments as directed.

Proper aftercare helps enhance your sculpting results and supports your body’s natural rebalancing process.

Can I exercise after my session?

Gentle movement such as walking or stretching is encouraged to support lymph flow.

However, intense workouts immediately after your session are not recommended. Allow your body time to integrate and rebalance.

Is the treatment painful?

Not at all. Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, slow, rhythmic technique designed to stimulate lymph flow just beneath the skin.

Unlike deep tissue massage, it should never feel aggressive or painful. Most clients describe it as deeply calming and soothing.

Will I need to use the restroom more after treatment?

Yes - this is completely normal.

Lymphatic drainage stimulates fluid movement and supports your body’s natural detoxification process. As a result, you may notice:

  • Increased urination

  • Passing gas

  • Mild bloating shifts

  • Slight thirst or fatigue

Passing gas is a normal response, as the treatment can stimulate digestion and reduce trapped air within the abdominal area.

These are all positive signs that your body is responding and releasing excess fluid. Staying well hydrated will help support this process and enhance your results.

Fat Cavitation & Radio Frequency Skin Tightening

What is Fat Cavitation and who is it for?

Ultrasonic fat cavitation is a non-invasive treatment that targets stubborn fat deposits, helping sculpt and contour your body. It’s ideal for anyone looking to refine specific areas like the stomach, thighs, hips, arms, or buttocks without surgery.

Note: It is not a weight-loss treatment, however it works wonderfully for shaping areas resistant to diet and exercise.

Who should avoid cavitation?

Cavitation isn’t recommended for:

  • Individuals with acute or contagious illnesses
  • Those with certain medical conditions (kidney, liver, heart, epilepsy, MS)
  • People with implantable devices (pacemakers, electrical prostheses)
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients
  • Anyone with active contagious skin conditions

If you’ve recently had surgery, we recommend waiting up to 8 weeks before treatment and a doctor's clearance is required.

Is the treatment painful?

Most clients find it painless and relaxing. You may feel a gentle warmth or tingling during the session. Mild redness or swelling can appear briefly afterward, but there’s no downtime.

How does it work?

Ultrasound waves target fat cells, breaking them down into a liquid form that your body naturally removes through the lymphatic and urinary systems. Results build with each session, and improvements in contour and skin tone are noticeable within days.

How many sessions will I need?

For most clients, 3–12 sessions achieve optimal results, depending on:

  • Target areas
  • Body composition
  • Age and hormonal balance
  • Lifestyle and diet

Maintenance sessions are recommended every few months to preserve your results.

Can I combine cavitation with other treatments?

Absolutely! Many clients enhance results with:

  • RF Skin Tightening – firms and tones skin for a smoother, lifted appearance
  • Lymphatic Drainage Massage – supports detoxification and reduces fluid retention
  • Brazilian Wood Therapy – smooths cellulite and sculpts curves

Combining treatments can accelerate results and refine your silhouette.

How soon will I see results?

Some changes may be visible after the first session, but results are most noticeable after 3–4 treatments. Continued improvements occur over weeks as your body processes the released fat and collagen stimulation from RF treatments supports skin tightening.

Pre-treatment guidelines

  • Stay well hydrated: 2–3 litres per day
  • Eat a light, balanced meal 1–2 hours before your session
  • Avoid alcohol 24–48 hours before
  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle with regular movement

Post-treatment care

  • Drink plenty of water for 72 hours to help flush fat and toxins
  • Light exercise or an infrared sauna post-treatment helps optimize results
  • Avoid alcohol and processed foods for 24 hours
  • Protect treated areas from sun exposure for 2 weeks
  • Follow therapist recommendations for ongoing care and maintenance

Is it safe?

Yes! Fat cavitation is non-invasive, requires no anaesthesia, and allows you to continue your daily activities immediately afterward.

Can I do RF Skin Tightening at the same time?

Yes! RF Skin Tightening stimulates collagen and tightens skin. It can be done alongside cavitation to improve tone, texture, and firmness.

How should I track progress?

  • Take “before” photos for comparison
  • Track circumference measurements if desired
  • Note changes in skin texture, firmness, and overall shape
